SCHODACK LANDING, N.Y. (November 8, 2024) – American Dairy Association North East wrapped up its third season of “Chef Meets Farm” on November 1, which marked a triumphant return to Hudson Valley dairy farm Dutch Hollow Farm.
The four-part series features fourth-generation dairy farmer Nate Chittenden, who once again joins forces with Emmy-winning culinary producer, food stylist, and on-air personality Chef Anthony Michael Contrino.
This isn’t the first time that Chittenden and Contrino have teamed up. Chittenden’s farm was the first to host “Chef Meets Farm” in 2022. The duo also worked together recently to host a farm-to-table experience at Dutch Hollow Farm.
In the new season of “Chef Meets Farm,” Chittenden and Contrino take viewers on a journey, creating delicious new recipes with farm-fresh, high-quality ingredients, including spiced apple cheesecake bites and a campfire cocktail.
“I loved being able to work with Chef Anthony again on this project,” said Chittenden. “He’s truly interested in knowing about the food he uses and what it takes to produce it.”
Chittenden is no stranger to the food culture scene. In 2018, Chittenden connected with New York City Chef Marc Forgione for a project about their shared passion for farm-to-table dining, which resulted murals being created at both Dutch Hollow Farm and at Forgione’s eatery.
Established in 1976, Dutch Hollow is home to 1,650 Registered Jerseys, with a milking herd of about 950 cows.
Chittenden has worked with American Dairy Association North East on a variety of projects over the past few years. Dutch Hollow Farm hosted a Virtual Farm Tour in 2019 which has racked up almost 200,000 views on YouTube. Chittenden’s family was also featured in “Fun on the Farm” in 2020.
