Season 2
Barbland and White Eagles Dairies
Barbland and White Eagles Dairies, located in Fabius, New York, are owned and operated by four different families! Johanna Bossard “married into” dairy farming years ago when she and her husband Bret tied the knot. From the day-to-day operations to her daughters Brynley and Raegan’s popular “Fun Fact Friday” series on social media, all things dairy farming is a family affair for the Bossard family all year long!
The first farm that Anthony visits is Barbland and White Eagles Dairies, where he teaches Johanna and her girls how to make Banana Pudding Milkshakes.
Schrack Farms
At Schrack Farms in Loganton, Pennsylvania, Aaron Harbach and his family are 12th generation farmers with 3 generations currently living right on the farm. Growing up on the farm, Aaron’s love for the outdoors and dairy farming continued to amplify through the years, ultimately leading him to work with his family post graduating college.
Anthony visits Aaron’s farm on his road trip but instead of cooking in the kitchen of Aaron’s home on the farm, Aaron takes Anthony out to his cabin. Here, Anthony and Aaron make Cheeseburger Pull-Apart Bread, the ultimate appetizer or entrée for any occasion, especially get togethers.
Twin Birch Dairy
Located in Skaneateles, New York, Twin Birch Dairy is a multi-generational non-family partnership. Farmer Jeremy Browns family had a dairy farm in northwest Pennsylvania, so he has been around cows his entire life. After attending Cornell University for dairy management, Jeremy pursued an opportunity to farm in a tight knit community that supports his family. He takes pride in knowing that they choose to farm in a socially, economically, and environmentally sustainable way.
Anthony wraps up his road trip at Twin Birch Dairy, where he also visits Jeremy at his home, just a few miles away from the farm itself. Together they make a Summer Potato Salad, better known as an absolute must-make for summer barbeques.
